Who i am?
About Me
Hi, I’m Chuanbin LENG, but you can call me Kelvin—it’s a name my homestay host in New Zealand gave me on my very first day there back in 2000. Since then, this name has accompanied me across countless journeys and many countries around the world.
Fast forward to 2024, my family and I have settled in Stockholm, Sweden. As we adjust to this new chapter of life, I’ve decided to create a travel blog to document my adventures, the countries I’ve explored, and the experiences that have shaped me.

Why This Blog?
For me, travel isn’t just about food, landscapes, or breathtaking natural scenery. It’s also about uncovering the wonders of wildlife. One of my favorite things to do is visit zoos in different countries, often with my daughter by my side. Zoos are more than just places to see animals—they are windows into the incredible diversity and creativity of nature. Every encounter with a unique species from a faraway region leaves me in awe of the natural world.
Back in China, zoos typically feature a limited range of species. That’s why visiting zoos abroad has become such a meaningful part of our travels. Watching my daughter marvel at these animals, learning about their habitats and behaviors, turns each trip into a rich, educational experience for both of us. These visits don’t just entertain—they inspire and connect us to the larger story of life on Earth.
A Blend of Passion and Work
My love for nature and wildlife extends beyond personal interest—it’s closely tied to my professional life. In China, I create indoor landscapes, such as rainforest enclosures, and design unique habitats for reptiles. Exploring zoos gives me fresh inspiration and a deeper understanding of how to craft spaces that mimic the natural world. It’s a rewarding process, combining creativity, observation, and respect for the animals’ needs.
Why “Journey and Wild”?
The name “Journey and Wild” reflects my dual passions: the excitement of exploration and the untamed beauty of nature. For me, every journey is not only about discovering new places but also about an inner journey—a chance to connect with something larger than myself. “Wild” symbolizes the authenticity and raw wonder of the natural world, which I strive to incorporate into both my travels and my creative work.
Through this blog, I hope to share my love for travel and nature with you. Whether it’s uncovering the secrets of a distant land, marveling at rare animal species, or drawing inspiration from the wild to create immersive designs, “Journey and Wild” represents the intersection of exploration, creativity, and a profound appreciation for life in all its forms.
Thank you for joining me on this adventure. Let’s explore the world and its wonders together!
